Dr. Jewett is one of the foremost global experts in Natural Killer Cell research. She has spent 30+ years studying Natural Killer cells and is currently the Director of the Tumor and Immunology lab at the global top ten medical research university, UCLA. Dr. Jewett believes in a combo therapy approach when treating cancer. She continues to lead a global effort to develop NK Cell therapeutics, and has developed cutting edge diagnostics that determine your NK Cell function.

Dr. Jewett has proven that it is the failure of the NK Cell System that allows our body to have cancer. We all have cancer stem cells and it's this system that keeps these cells from mutating into actual cancer. If this system is functioning properly you can't get cancer.  Dr. Jewett's therapies work to fix this broken system in cancer patients so the body's own natural immunity can eradicate the disease, versus using toxicity to target the disease and further destroy your immune system you so desperately need to be healthy. Dr. Jewett has been published to some of the top medical journals in the world over 150 times where she has eradicated many of the most aggressive cancers in the world in humanized mouse models. 

The money you donate to Saving Sophie will go to support patients who desperately need these life saving treatments that are currently very expensive since they have not yet completed large scale human trials, nor are they covered by insurance. Under the Compassionate Use Act, patients can apply to get FDA approval within 30-days of the application submission once these treatments are available in 2023.

Where is the Research Going?

On a path set towards FDA approved human trials, it is the belief that these cellular based therapeutics have the potential to change the way cancer is treated. Saving Sophie is honored to be able to support the work of this incredible scientist and her staff of brilliants researchers as they embark on a mission to help those that have been suffering from antiquated treatments that have barely evolved over the last 40 years.
