Having a Child that's Diagnosed with Cancer is a Parent's
Worst Fear
At Saving Sophie, we fully understand the pain and fear parents go through when their child is diagnosed with cancer. That moment when you first hear the "C" word is a moment that will be etched in your brain and heart forever.
But you're not in this alone! We have dedicated the last 11 years of our lives to finding better treatments for our own daughter Sophie, and for children just like yours! The treatments we are focused on supporting have been shown to work for all cancers and ages, and we will stop at nothing to help bring these treatments to market so other families don't have to suffer like ours has.
What's even better, these therapies are believed to fix the reason why the patient got cancer in the first place so they walk away from therapy fixed and not further broken by the toxicity that has riddled their small bodies.
Currently, Saving Sophie is working to raise money to help patients afford these treatments as soon as they are available. These treatments will soon be in human trials, and for some they will be available through what is called a Single Patient IND. These are human studies of one that can be approved under the Compassionate Use Act for patients who have exhausted the other options Western Medicine has available to them.
The money we raise will be donated directly to clinics providing treatments that aren't covered by insurance through grants that help reduce the heavy financial burden to families who's children are battling cancer.

Providing Support to Pediatric Cancer Families
The BumbleBee Foundation was established in memory of Jarren Donatini, who at the age of four, passed away from a very rare form of liver cancer (Hepatoblastoma). During his eighteen-month battle with cancer, Jarren’s family was directly impacted with the overwhelming costs and emotional stress associated with caring for a pediatric cancer patient. Providing Art Therapy for Children
Amber Sandquist is now offering private or group therapeutic art sessions to children of all ages. She has a background in education and fine arts, and would love to help your child tap into their inner artist through self expression. Providing Donations to Families
The mission of Leia’s Kids is to provide hope and support to children and their families battling childhood cancer. Leia’s Kids does this by directly donating to families battling childhood cancer. Leia’s Kids honors each child and their family through a Crown-A-Kid party. This is a time to celebrate and encourage the child and family in the biggest battle of their lives. Each child receives a $1,000.00 donation from the Leia’s Kids Foundation. Founded by a 2x childhood cancer survivor Leia Hunt. For more info CLICK HERE.
Providing ComfCozy's for Chemo
Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, supports the here and now needs of families impacted by childhood cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Founded in honor of Amanda Hope, a little girl battling cancer had a special dream to help other children in her same situation. Her mother and our Founder, Lorraine Tallman, turned her wish into reality. We provide our Comfycozy’s for Chemo adaptive apparel to any child with a central line throughout the world. We have online resources available including our Amanda Hope Blog and Facebook Live Storytime.
